Bali Food Guide - #6 Ithaka Warung
Today we went to the Ithaka Warung for Lunch. This little restaurant was born in 2014 and since that we visited it on every of our stays on the island.
They just recently moved into a new location near to the Batu Bolong Beach and opened a second restaurant in Ubud.
They have a big menu that offers something for everyone. Local balinese dishes, tapas and spanish influenced dishes as well as healthy food and cold pressed juices.
Heute gingen wir zum Ithaka Warung zum Mittagessen. Dieses kleine Restaurant wurde 2014 geboren und seitdem haben wir es bei jedem Aufenthalt auf der Insel besucht.
Sie haben kürzlich einen neuen Standort in der Nähe des Batu Bolong Beach bezogen und ein zweites Restaurant in Ubud eröffnet.
Sie haben eine große Speisekarte, die für jeden etwas bietet. Lokale balinesische Gerichte, Tapas und spanisch beeinflusste Gerichte sowie gesunde Lebensmittel und kaltgepresste Säfte.
The new location has it´s open plan dinning area on the second floor with perfect sea view. That´s perfect on hot days like today cause you always have a fresh seabreeze and don´t need a aircon or fans.
The interior is very simple but stylish and the atmosphere is relaxed.
Der neue Standort verfügt über einen offenen Essbereich im zweiten Stock mit perfektem Meerblick. Das ist perfekt an heißen Tagen wie heute, weil man immer eine frische Seebrise hat und keine Klimaanlage oder Ventilatoren benötigt.
Der Innenraum ist sehr einfach, aber stilvoll und die Atmosphäre ist entspannt
While the seating area is quite nice, the best about the new location is the seaview. They moved from a loud roadside location to this perfect spot. So this is really a upgrade.
Der Sitzbereich ist zwar ganz nett, aber das Beste an der neuen Lage ist der Meerblick. Sie zogen von einer lauten Straßenlage an diesen perfekten Ort. Das ist also wirklich ein Upgrade.
Ok, ok enough talked. Let´s go over to the food part...
As said, the food menu as well as the beverage menu is big and it´s not an easy thing to choose, but we finally felt a decision. We´ve built our own Burger and Sandwich.
What we ordered.
- Healthy cold pressed juice (Carrot, Orange, Celery and Ginger)
- Burger (A burger bun with fried eggplant balls, lettuce and tomato and housemade sauce)
- Sandwich (Two slices of bread with avocado, tomato, mozzarella, lettuce and fried onions)
- Fries Two portion of homemade fries
All together we paid 155.000 Rupiah which is around 10 Euro or 11 US Dollar.
Ok, ok genug geredet. Lass uns zum Essen gehen...
Wie gesagt, die Speisen- und Getränkekarte ist groß und es ist nicht leicht zu wählen, aber wir hatten endlich eine Entscheidung. Wir haben unseren eigenen Burger und Sandwich gebaut.
Was wir bestellt haben
- Gesunder kaltgepresster Saft (Karotte, Orange, Sellerie und Ingwer)
- Burger (Ein Burgerbrötchen mit gebratenen Auberginenbällchen, Salat und Tomaten und hausgemachte Sauce)
- Sandwich (Zwei Scheiben Brot mit Avocado, Tomaten, Mozzarella, Salat und Röstzwiebeln)
- Pommes Frites Zwei Portionen hausgemachte Pommes Frites
Insgesamt haben wir 155.000 Rupiah bezahlt was ca 10 Euro oder 11 US Dollar entspricht.
