Bali Food Guide - #18 Moana Fish Eatery
There´s a lot of good fish restaurants on Bali, especially in places like Jimbaran Beach. But also here in Canggu you´ll find a good fish, in a restaurant called Moana Fish Eatery.
This polynesian restaurant offers some really good fish dishes, from fresh grilled tuna or snapper to raw tuna salad.
Es gibt viele gute Fischrestaurants auf Bali, besonders in Orten wie Jimbaran Beach. Aber auch hier in Canggu gibt es einen guten Fisch, in einem Restaurant namens Moana Fish Eatery.
Dieses polynesische Restaurant bietet einige wirklich gute Fischgerichte, von frisch gegrilltem Thunfisch oder Schnapper bis hin zu rohem Thunfischsalat.
The interior is very unique and it´s very easy to see the south pacific influence. If you want to dine here you should definitely reserve a table, otherwise it will be hard to get one.
Das Interieur ist einzigartig und der Einfluss des Südpazifiks ist leicht zu erkennen. Wenn man hier essen möchten, sollte man auf jeden Fall einen Tisch reservieren, sonst wird es schwierig, einen zu bekommen.
The menu offers a good choice of fish dishes, raw, grilled or pan seared, whatever you prefer. Most of the people swear by the raw tuna, but i´m not a big fan of raw fish. But the medium grilled tuna is absolutely delicious.
Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl an Fischgerichten, roh, gegrillt oder in der Pfanne gebraten, ganz wie man möchte. Die meisten Leute schwören auf rohen Thunfisch, aber ich bin kein großer Fan von rohem Fisch. Aber der medium gegrillte Thunfisch ist absolut lecker.
We´ve been here a few times already and I always choose one of the grilled tuna dishes. The portions have been bigger in the past but are still good.
This time we ordered the follwoing:
1 x Manava Tuna Steak (grilled tuna with spicy ginger cream, rice and salad)
1 x Mohainy Snapper (grilled snapper with mushroom sauce, rice and salad)
I can´t really remember the price but it was way below 20$ all together with two drinks. So this place is really cheap for the fact that it is a fish restaurant.
Wir waren schon einige Male hier und ich wähle immer eines der gegrillten Thunfischgerichte. Die Portionen waren in der Vergangenheit größer, sind aber immer noch gut.
Diesmal haben wir folgendes bestellt:
1 x Manava Tuna Steak (gegrillter Thunfisch mit würziger Ingwercreme, Reis und Salat)
1 x Mohainy Snapper (gegrillter Snapper mit Pilzsauce, Reis und Salat)
Ich kann mich nicht wirklich an den Preis erinnern, aber es war alles zusammen mit zwei Getränken weit unter 20 $. Also dieses Restaurant ist wirklich günstig für die Tatsache, dass es ein Fischrestaurant ist.
