Brunch at Motin, Mexico. A little vacation without leaving our town.
A few weeks ago we were feeling like brunch and we had in our “To eat list” this little pretty place. It is called Motin and at least in the weekends is very peaceful.
It is located in La Roma the recently famous neighborhood, so it’s a nice walk if you are near.
This place is pet friendly and that’s important because we have a dog, her name is Penny Lane and here she is taking a look at the place. She knows how to behave so we constantly bring her to our meals.
We were in celebration mode so we ordered a couple of Mimosas. A Mimosa is a 50/50 combination of Champagne (but most of the time you get sparkling wine) and orange juice. We liked the ones we got there because they were big and the wine was good.
To start we had a red berries plate with yoghurt and granola.
Then my wife ordered a breakfast sandwich. Simple but tasty it had eggs, crispy bacon and avocado inside of a brioche bread bun and with a side of potatoes.
I ask for enfrijoladas. They are a very Mexican dish for breakfast, it consists of a tortilla bent in half and filled with chicken covered in a bean sauce with a little touch of chipotle and with some cheese and cream on top.
We had a great time there so we really recommend this place, for a moment we felt like we were on vacation, that’s how peaceful it feels.
