NAGASAKI Yasai Tempura Udon
Hello Tasteemians! Tonight I visited Nagasaki JAPANESE restaurant nearby my workplace. They do serve salmon and beef but because I loved salad (Yasai), I came here just to indulge in salad and veggie tempura.
It was a two unit restaurant - one unit for kitchen and one for dining area. I thought that was quite a big space for a kitchen. Thus a smaller space for dining.
I was very attracted to the salad because there were onions. the salad bowl was a big one and I was very happy.
The salad was inclusive of cucumber, onions, carrots lettuce and tomatoes. The salad condiments or salad dipping were actually just mayonnaise and some chili sauce that makes something like thousands Island. A bit disappointed with the dressing though.
The next dish was tempura udon. Tempura means deep fried vegetables in white colour batter. Udon means a type of wheat noodles that was quite a big noodle in size. The soup was very good.
Deep fried crunchy vegetables were eggplant, sweet potato, long beans and mushroom. Tempura batter was a little tasteless but it was to be eaten with the udon and soup. Their flavors compliment each other.
Although there were many people but the service was quite fast. I got the salad and tempura udon in just 5 minutes after I ordered themI got the salad and tempura udon in just five minutes after I ordered them.
Pricing was higher than other Japanese restaurants in this city. RM14 for salad and RM19 for the udon. Rm2.50 for the green tea (refillable). Total spending here RM35.50 (approximately USD9.00).

Vege tempura? Long time never had those. Kinda hard to find a shop that sells it.
