Silky Dining at Silk Club & Lounge
Hi dearest Tasteemians. I have a Weekly choice restaurant that I had visited last week. The restaurant is called Silk Club and Lounge, situated at the Waterfront of Kota Kinabalu.
It was quite dark and everyone was enjoying their beers and alcohol at the Waterfront. The restaurant serves western food such as steak, chicken chop, Lamb Chop, pizza, pasta and finger foods like wedges, French fries and garlic toasts.
I ordered:
1. Grilled Salmon
Served with wedges potato and salad. The salmon was cooked to Perfection. The fish was still moist, not dry or flaky. Salmon was aromatic, not fishy. Potato wedges were crispy and light. They were not oily at all. Credits to the chef.
2. Lamb Chop
Served with potato wedges and salad, the Lamb was cooked just nice. Tender and flavourful. I could tell that they marinated the meat really well before cooking. I only wished that the Lamb meat had some fats with it. More Lamb aroma that wayThe wedges were crunchy and fresh.
3. Bruschetta
Topped with tomato salad. The dressing was lemony and tangy. The toast was toasted perfectly. When you combine the crisp and tomatoes, they just explode in your mouth!
The prices here were quite "spicy" as for locals like me.
- Grilled Salmon costed RM39.00
- Lamb Chop costed RM35.00
- Bruschetta costed RM10.00
Total payment was RM84 (US$21).
However, the service was very good. The waitress was patient with us, accommodating and quite friendly.
The only complaint I could never hold back was the presentation. No credit to the chef. I was not impressed. I could imagine myself as the chef, wedges done - pick up some and throw in the plate. Hmm, Malaysian "chin chai" style.
Great atmosphere in front of the sea view, definitely a must go.
