Solibao Restaurant Session Road Baguio
Hello itinerants all over the world and steem community! I am here again to bring you another peculiar taste trying out different dishes from our very own home grown Filipino restaurants. It cannot be denied that Philippines is a home for phenominal food creations that are catered not just locally but also abroad. Cuisines that can't be paralleled for having its own unique taste and style.
In today's content our journey to the north continues. We are now heading to the Summer Capital of the Philippines and known as well to be the City of Pines which is the Baguio City. Here I stumble upon this homey restaurant which serves home grown Filipino Cuisines.
Solibao Restaurant is a popular native restaurant in Baguio City. It is said that the business started in 1972 with growing branches in the Province. The restaurants name has something to do with the indigenous tribe living in the mountan province. The Igorot tribe uses a drum whenever they perform a traditional ceremony and it believed that the drum is called Solibao.
The restaurant is located at Session Road Door number 1 Puso ng Baguio building, Baguio City. It's very accessible to different establishments since it's situated in the most famous street in Baguio which is the session road which is famous for night activities. The store looks very casual so you won't get off to try it. When you get inside it actually gives you a homey feel because of the home-style interior.
WHAT WE GOT?
Everytime I try to eat in a certain restaurant for the first time I always ask for their best sellers because in that way you can easily get the best cuisine they offer. We got the special palabot with Calasiao Puto which costs 85.00 pesos and also we tried their sizzler which is the beef tapa with rice, egg and vegetables which costs 165.00 pesos.
To be honest, I don't have any bad things to say about the restaurant because the foods are actually reasonably good then the people working here are very accommodating they were even willing to answer our questions about their restaurant and during our visit it wasn't crowded so we didn't have to experience a long queue. By far, everything is superb. Hopefully I can visit this restaurant again. I also love their palabok here. It's the best in town in my opinion
I think so too. I'm not really a big fan of palabok but they just have one of the bests that I have tried. Worth the penny.
