Penang Asam Laksa - My All Time Favourite

Penang Asam Laksa has its place in my heart as one of my all time favourite back from my childhood time. I had tried different kind of gravies for laksa and it has to be somehow find a balance between sour, sweet, spicy and fragrant being the best gravy for the cuisine. Besides that, the noodle has to be with the right tangy feeling.

This cafeteria stood just beside the Penang Buddhist Association building which is a heritage bungalow unit. You can park opposite the place which is the Dato Keramat field and cross the road or behind the cafeteria.

Also take away 3 spring rolls with gravy

The laksa stall is actually one of the stall in the cafeteria that also sell beverages (like normal kopitiam) and also Penang Hokkien mee also known as prawn mee. The laksa stall is operated by Aunty Phaik who sells the asam laksa as well as spring roll. As long as the gravy was done right, then everything goes with it will be nice. For this, I recommend to come for a good local laksa taste. Price wise also very reasonable below RM10, you can enjoy the spring roll, the laksa and a nice glass of beverage of your choice.

Oh ya, don't forget to ask Aunty to add more gravy if you like it. If not it will be not that much and satisfying :P
