Gam Yong, Hong Kong recipe for dim sums that are cute
Wanted to try out some dim sum when we stumbled upon this restaurant in Sabah. It's quite a peculiar mix of western and Eastern food with some Japanese cuisines.
It's pretty cool to see such a door upon entering. You press this button and the door opens by itself. I really did not know if that was necessary but it adds to the asthetics.
I think this is their award of excellence.
The decor is quite westernized but it serves eastern cuisine.
A lot of choices to choose for the different dim sums that is offered.
Minion salted egg buns
The inside is a filling that burst upon biting it. It is filled with salted egg cream and is a favourite dish which is not to be missed if you ever have dim sum.
Pig shaped buns with meat inside
It's pretty unique to eat such buns. The texture is pretty soft and chewy. It perfectly matches with the filling inside.
Their baked cheese rice
It taste alrite but upon biting more than a bite, it became a bit too thick to handle with all that cheese in your mouth.
Dim sums
These are solid and the meat is quite chewy. The food came really fast and the price is a bit high but it's worth to try here. I guess this place is more well known for its seafood offering which can rack up lots when you eat hwre

I ever went to their branch in City Mall.... Their mee hun goreng singapore style was delicious.
