Eat "Somay Tiga Saudara" in Lhokseumawe City Center

Again "Somay" became a special attraction for me when I was visiting the city of Lhokseumawe. Indeed somay is always a culinary that is quite tempting snack. Besides being able to fill up, the price is also fairly cheap.

This time I was in a field in downtown Lhokseumawe. This field is usually used to conduct events in this region, such as cultural and culinary festivals. Basically this field is a place to carry out the commemoration ceremony of independence day.

This place is one of the favorite locations frequented by tourists. They came from various regions. Its location is very strategic, even more close to places of worship/mosque that support all public facilities.

This rectangular field is always crowded with tourists. Evening and night is the peak of the crowd. The place, which is located adjacent to the local government office, is perfect for visiting with family anytime. Because in this place there are many rides for children.

Another attraction of this place is that there are various types of culinary that are sold at economical prices. Various culinary delights in this place are sold using carts. These carts stand in a row along the edge of the field.

"Somay, Batagor, and noodles" are among the most popular types of culinary for sale here. One of them is the "Somay Tiga Saudara" cart. Just mention Warni's mother, one of Somay's sellers in Hiraq field. Usually these carts start selling in the afternoon until the evening.

From the outside, the shelve are seen filled with yellow noodles, which are traditional and very typical noodles in Aceh. There are also several packages of Instant noodles. In addition, there are also pan that contain various somay.

This pan is always heated with fire to maintain somay quality. There is a large round somay that contains eggs inside, there is also a small round somay that is pretty chewy and very edible. The aroma of meat and soup inhaled is very tempting when the pan is opened.

Somay is made using flour and meat. The mixture is made into a round shape, then steamed in a hot pan. The taste of somay with this soup is very good. Besides being soft and chewy, a blend of ground beef also adds a more delicious and savory taste.

"Somay veins" are the most delicious type of somay here. Because somay so tasted the meat. In addition to being soft and chewy, the uniqueness of this somay is the combination of celery leaves and fried onions. To add flavor, somay is very suitable mixed with soy sauce and sauce. If you like it spicy, add the ground chili too. This sauteed ground chili is always provided on the table, and can be added according to taste.
