Food Sharing #61 - Mr Stone Pot @ Sydney, Australia

Hi Steemians,

Today I’ll be taking you to Mr Stone Pot for lunch. I normally go to this restaurant on the weekdays before lunch time as there will be little chance for us to get a seat during peak hours or on the weekends. They have recently changed the menu so we decided to come and check it out. I am currently at the Chatswood branch but there are a few branches around Sydney. First, lets take a look at some of the new menu.

Once you have decided what to order, you just need to tick what you like and give the order form back to the waitstaff. We ordered beef tongue with okra, pan friend pork dumpling, chicken mushrooms soup and a soup noodle for the kids to share.

The restaurant is very small so we sat outside with some other customers. What I like about this restaurant is they give out wet towels just like some restaurants in Asia. A nice touch for customers.

Here comes out food. The beef tongue dish comes in a really high temperature hot pot. During our whole meal, the hotpot still maintained a high temperature meaning it can still keep the food nice and hot. The soup is my favourite, no msg with plenty of flavours. Apologies I forgot to take a picture of the soup noodles as the kids were already digging into it.

The food quality here I think is of high standard even though the seating arrangement isn’t that ideal as you are sitting outside the restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and the servings are very generous which is why I try to come back as often as I could.
