Food Sharing #99 - Kitchen by Mike @ Sydney Airport, Australia

Hi Everyone,

One our way to our next destination, I really wanted something really light so we decided to have lunch at Kitchen by Mike at Sydney Airport. The other reason why we chose this place was it was closer to our gate so will be convenient for us to head over when time is up.

Let’s have a look at the menu. The menu is very simple and there isn’t many choices like many cafes or restaurants. I decided to get a combo of Pear & Cucumber salad and my other half wanted to order slow cooked lamb.

Here comes out food. My salad looks substantial but the lamb was a disappointment. Not only it was served like what is pictured, the taste was terrible. For $20, my husband only got 2 scoops of cous cous and a bit of lamb - exactly what you can see in the picture. My salad on the other hand, it was nicer but still a bit small for the price we paid for. The taste of both salads was very refreshing and if the serving was bigger, it would of been perfect.

The seating was nice but service was pretty average. This might be the only review I would say if you just want a salad, it is not a bad option at Kitchen by Mike. But if you want anything else like the lamb or quiche, I suggest you go elsewhere at the airport as you can get better quality of food.
