Food Sharing #139 - Nanya Singapore Restaurant @ Kensington, Australia
Hi Everyone,
Today I wanted to share another gem in Kensington. The kids wanted some noodle so we chose Nanya Singapore so we can their favourite noodle soup and the adults can have something different. Kensington is close to the University of NSW which is known to be cheap food for students and this restaurant not only is cheap but one is suitable for the family with decent seat and food.
Let’s look at the menu first. This is just a glimpse of the menu, you will be spoilt for choices. We ordered a fish noodle soup for the kids, oyster omelette and bak kut teh.
Here comes out food. As expected they are all pretty decent size. My boys quickly started digging in the fish noodle soup. It has fish fillets, tofu, some greens and tomatoes which was a great balance. The oyster omelette was acceptable with lots of oysters and a nice dipping. I think the oysters are the frozen ones you can buy from the stores rather than using fresh ones. Lastly the bak kut teh. It came out nice and hot in the pot with rice and fried dough sticks on the side. There were plenty of meat in the soup which I couldn’t finish and the taste although not like I had in Singapore, it wasn’t too bad.

The price of the restaurant is considered above average compared to the restaurant in Kensington but overall the price still cheaper than other suburbs. The service was good and there were plenty of seating. They also have some nice Asian drinks and desserts you could order other than the usual meals.

大家好，今天想帶你們到 UNSW 大學附近一家新加坡餐廳叫南雅. 這裡有我小朋友很喜歡的魚片米粉湯麵所以就在這裡吃午飯. 除了湯粉麵，還有不同小菜，飲料和糖水可以叫. 我們還叫了一份蠔餅還有肉骨茶. 魚片米粉湯麵裏有魚片，番茄，豆腐和青菜所以非常健康，給小朋友吃是最適合的. 蠔餅可以接受但覺得蠔是用冰凍的，不是新鮮. 最後肉骨茶會配油條和白飯. 味道就沒有在新加坡吃那麼好但也可以接受，湯裡有很多排骨真的吃不完. 價錢方面，在這個區就是中上但在其他區來比較就應該算是便宜的.
