Food Sharing #100 - Chimi Churi @ Chatswood, Australia

Hi Everyone,

We heard about Chimi Churi from a friend so decided to visit the cafe for a weekend breakfast. Due to the weekend, they have a brunch and lunch menu which you can choose depending what food you prefer. I wanted to try their signature dish Black Benedict so it will be their morning menu.

Let’s check out their menu first. Simple but many choices plus there is there day special if you want something a little bit different.

We ordered a Black Benedict, Cuban melt from the daily board and a coffee. Here comes out food!

Does it look like a crab? Yepppp a bit freaky to some but it was very cleverly made. The bun was delicious, the egg was perfect with the ikura on top and there were plenty of crab (too much for 1 person). The sauce was a bit heavy for my liking so I took the sauce off and it was perfect! My other half’s bun was really average according to him. The pork was nice but the break itself wasn’t anything special. He did praise the salad as it was nicely made with a tasty dressing.

There are plenty of seating in the cafe and service was really good. Food was cooked very quickly and it came out nice and hot. The price of the dishes was above average even though I had crab, it is quite expensive for a breakfast. Parking is a bit hard even though there is metered parking so I suggest you park at a nearby shopping centre and walk over to avoid the hassle of looking for a space.
