Takeaway: Kaya Balls
Craving for something sweet, I went to buy Kaya balls at Golden Fish, Mega Long Mall, Penampang, few days ago. You can find Golden Fish chain food stall/mini food eatery in almost every shopping malls in Kota Kinabalu. They are selling simple fast food and drinks like waffles, Kaya balls, popcorn, sweet corns and Bubble Tea drinks.
Here you can see big signboard/banner showing food and drinks available.
Kaya balls are my all-time favourite snack. These cute little bite sized Kaya balls are commonly sold in Malaysia shopping center food courts. They are basically little dome-shaped buns filled with Kaya jam or Coconut egg jam (made from fresh coconut, milk and eggs), chocolate or peanut butter.
I prefered Kaya jam. It's soft warm buns, filled with fragrant, sweet, creamy and delicious. One packet (10 balls) priced RM3.20 (USD0.77).
I also bought waffles and Bubble Tea drinks too.
Their business operating hours is 10AM to 9PM daily.
