According to the official website Tau is a decentralized blockchain network intended to solve the bottleneck inherent in large-scale human communication and accelerate productivity in human collaboration using logic-based artificial intelligence.

At present, large-scale discussions and collaborative efforts carried out directly between people are very inefficient. To overcome this problem, we developed a paradigm that we call Human-Machine-Human communication:

The main principle is that users can not only interact with each other but also make their statements clear to their Tau clients. Our paradigm allows Tau to conclude the consensus area among its users in real time, allowing the network to improve communication by acting as an intermediary between humans. He does it by gathering opinions and preferences of users who want to share and logically build opinions into a semantic knowledge base.

Being able to conclude consensus and understand discussion, Tau can automatically generate and execute code based on consensus, through a process known as code synthesis. This will greatly accelerate the production of knowledge and accelerate most of the large-scale collaborative efforts we can imagine in the world today.
