Fuck Property Taxes and the Government Dog They Rode in On!

in #taxes5 years ago

I don't support property taxes.

I don't think people should be taxed multiple times for the money they earn. Yet, we are. We have to pay taxes are our income...which is already taxed before we even get it, then we have to pay sales tax on everything, then we have to pay tax on various things every year...which is kinda utterly bullshit. You already paid taxes on the money you bought the house with and sales tax when you bought it, and now you gotta pay taxes every year? It just feels like utter bullshit.

You also shouldn't have to risk losing a house that might have been in your family for generations just because you fall on hard times. It's your house, you should be able to keep it no matter what.

But that's not how it is.

You have to pay taxes on everything. Multiple times.

The government likes to take a cut wherever they can.

But then they tell you that the money is going towards roads and schools and bullshit...but you know where most of it's going? Government waste. They take in this massive income and just throw it away. If they were a corporation they would have gone bankrupt by now.

I'm not fully against taxes...they suck...but there are good things they do. They just need to fix the way they do things and consider how they do things. But they won't. They don't consider much. And they can't pass hardly anything when it comes to laws. And they don't try nearly hard enough to clean up the laws over the years.

But my opinion doesn't matter. I'm just one person. If I complain, I get dismissed, telling me to run for office if I have a problem with it. Guess it is a bonus that people think I'm worthy enough to run for office occasionally. But I don't like publicity. The whole news empire is kinda horrible. The levels they hold politicians to is just disgusting...at the same time as pussy grabbers get elected...probably due to their coverage of them as well.

It just feels wrong that you have to pay over and over again on something you buy. I know that those taxes go to pay for services...but there is no reason they couldn't pay for services in other ways...or even tighten their belt like so many of us have to and stop wasting so much money!

No matter how cute government dogs are, DO NOT PET THEM!

Military working dog Brock, a member of the Air Force’s 100th Security Forces Squadron, shows off his uniform after a training session at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, July 11, 2017. Brock is unique as the only giant schnauzer in the Department of Defense. Looking different to the regular German shepherd and Belgian malinois working dogs means people often think he is a pet.

I'm not fully against taxes

Stopped reading here. You're dead to me.

No; it's clear that taxation has benefits to society. I am honestly less concerned about the actual fact that taxes are levied, and more about the violence associated with enforcement.

Quantitative easing is a good case study for this. It is effectively a flat tax on all the liquid cash in the system. The government draws economic power away from all the money people keep stuffed under their beds, and grants it to themselves.

Now, I may take ideological issue with prescribed inflation controlled by a central bank, but I do not take any real moral issue with that action itself. Instead, I take moral issue with the central bank's existence, because it could not exist without the power granted it and secured by the government's violence.

Imagine though, that a society existed where the fabric of reality itself ensured that the above action happened according to established and understood laws of nature itself, which required no violence to uphold. Oh, that's right; you don't have to imagine it. It's called Steem. On Steem, we all decide where our assigned portion of that "tax" goes. Nobody is raiding anyone's home; nobody is getting shot in the face. It just happens.

No matter how cute government dogs are, DO NOT PET THEM!

I'm not really a dog person, but I would pet that dog on grounds of principle alone. Poor doggo. He so cute too :(

I've actually considered at various times that maybe the government could actually make some items to fund itself...not just guns and weapons. There are a TON of things that are no longer protected by copyrights, as well as items that pretty much everyone needs, that they could make. They could make washing machines and fridges for example, and give them to people on government assistance, as well as sell them. If done correctly, this could ensure that competitors actually have to step up their quality a bit, as well as giving a ton of people jobs. Of course, done incorrectly, they could end up competing with private companies to their detriment. I'm not sure that it would be bad though if we had cheap standard appliances made locally that ensured that we only import higher quality items.

The main problem I have with the added taxes on money done through like printing extra and inflation and such is that, not only is it a sort of hidden tax, but after years and years of doing this, all of everything costs so much that it's a stressful thing. I think it might actually be one of the number one reasons to actually buy crypto. When you buy crypto, you can research all the things and know exactly how much is printed and such. They can even make their own crypto if they want...but they'll have to give up being able to print whenever they want. I don't think people realize how horrible of a thing it is that when our parents were kids they could buy a car and pay their way through college. Our money is worth so much less than it ever was before...and part of it even being worth as much as it is is just because we somehow manipulate other countries into not realizing how worthless our money is in the US.
