Top 10 to 20 coins are the only investment worth making

Why investing in the top 10 to 20 crypto-currency's by marketcap is important, Atm there are thousands of crypto-currencies to invest in but it is becoming more important then every to invest in the top 20.

Institutional money is coming, not sure when but it is when it does it will come in the form of pension funds mutual funds and 401k. Since crypto is extremely risky even bitcoin which is considered the lowest risk is extremely risky compared to stocks, bonds and housing. Crypto is in uncharted territory and know one knows which coins will be the winner. Crypto is like the Tech bubble of the early 2000s, so many tokens and coins with huge market values all competing to be king. Soon enough the market will decide which are project with potential in the future, these projects will be the next Google Facebook and Amazon. The losers will be pets.com.

Since everyone is unsure of the future winner, once institutional money starts getting exposer to the crypto space they will want to diversify there holdings and the easiest way they will do that is with index funds. Right now there is one called C20 this is a index fund that tracks the top 20 coins by marketcap. In the future Huobi will be launching the Ht10 which is same as C20 but only the top ten and Bloomberg will also be releasing a top 10 crypto index fund. Soon all exchanges will follow this lead to try and get institutional money following in. This in turn will mean huge sums of money will funnel into these top coins.

New retail investors will also start to buy into these index funds. It is the easiest way to invest and if they are anything like index stock fund 90% of people will be better off just holding index funds and not trading. If crypto- currency ETF’s become reality they will most likely be in the form of index funds.
