Melbourne Aquarium

Today is the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend and like 999999 other parents we decided to visit the Melbourne Aquarium located in the Melbourne CBD.

For Tahlia this was her first trip to the Aquarium and our 2nd visit since it opened and oh my has it improved!

This was also Tahlia's first encounter with marine life (living) and she was absolutely blown away with all the fishes and once we got to the large open tank where visitors are surrounded by sharks, rays and a plathora of fish she was filled with excitement and awww.

As we ventured through the maze of tanks and sea life Tahlia was taken a back at the sheer size and beauty of marine life.

And really enjoyed the rainforest display which featured turtles and fresh water fish.

She even tried walking into an enclosure and dad had to hold her tight!

Her favourite displays were the bubble tanks where you can climb through via a tunnel and pop your head inside.

All in all the entire family had a great time exploring the caves and different habitats and taking in all the different kinds of marine life.

Especially to check in on the King Penguins which have recently had babies!
