Give Us Your Finger Contest
First of all...
Well done you guys! Thanks for exercising your rights as a citizen of Malaysia!
The election process, which involves most of us common people is now over... It was a great time seeing people, near and far, putting in their effort to make the election a successful one.
Special thanks to the people in charge: SPR, Police officers, Volunteers and the rest of you awesome people! It was a great opportunity for a lot of us to actually meet up with friends whom we've not met for years... :)
Seeing people rallying help from all over the world to get the postal votes in was so so so encouraging.. it's great to know that someone's got your back when you need it, and, so with that.... for the first time in 6 decades, we see a change in the political scene in Malaysia.
So for this contest, i thought i should include not just my finger, but some of the fingers i was able to find through my facebook feed.... so many things has happen over the last 24 hours, it made it so difficult to find those pictures!
Unfortunately, i didn't have the patience to look for thousands of images with the fingers, i made peace with just over 50 images... and stacked them up like so:
The main idea is that while every single vote counts, it meant nothing without the others... and the voices of the people was heard, the new government will be formed by the people. And the entire hand was overlaid with the Malaysian flag...
So i guess, this kindda counts as a conceptual photo of my finger? lol, if that doesn't count ... then sure.. here's the original photo of my finger haha
Prayer for Malaysia
While i had to rest early last night in preparation for the ITEX exhibition which i'll be manning a booth later, i couldn't help but to wake up a few times in the night to check for the results, and see if everything was alright...
My prayer goes out to the current ministers as well as the incoming ones, peace and harmony to rest upon their hearts... the mandate that was given to them was to bring prosperity to the nation...
Let this election be a start of something new, a beneficial foundation which would enable the future generations to rise up to greater heights, one whose's voice can be heard.
I speak greatness upon this beautiful land of Malaysia. I bless you!
I guess that's all.... love you fellow Malaysians, let us not get complacent ... this is just the beginning.
Thank you for being part of history @brighttux . Yesterday Facebook and other social media were invaded with the "inked" finger haha. and right now I still need to clean it, but it still feels good about it.
Right now we can only keep looking up, and you are totally right. It is no time for complacency. This is going to be a rough ride and let us all ride on the waves of challenge for a new born Malaysia!
