Thanks to @nytrie for helping find Newspaper Report

8 September 2018 was the day that everyone is waiting for, The first Borneo Blockchain Summit (BBS) in Sabah, or some even say the first in Borneo. It was a bright sunny hot day, we had to be at Univerity Malaysia Sabah (UMS) at 6.30am to set up the registration table, buntings, make sure the food area is intact, the sound systems, the signages for the VIP and Speakers seats and many other things.

Around 7am, most of the steemian volunteers arrived and all of us goes to what we assigned to. I was running up and down to the hall, back to the registration table, to the VIP Room, making sure all small little details were in place. It was around 8 pm that the speakers arrived, at this time too quite a number of participants arrive as well, the registration table was busy.

The Beautiful Volunteer Ladies

When I was in auditorium checking on the waters, I received a call from the Special Officer to Assistant Minister of Education & Innovation (YB Jeniffer Lasimbang, that they are on the way to UMS), before this it did not sink to me that BBS is really happening until I got the phone call from the Minister Special Officer. This is when the moment started that we had to roll it. I went ahead to look for @bitrocker2020 and @danieldoughty to inform them of the Minister arrival.

About 9 am, as promised by YB Jennifer, she arrived sharply at the entrance, it was us the steemians to receive her, we exchange our welcome greetings, and escorted her to the hall. Lots of picture taking taken where everybody wants to take a picture with her. She is the Queen of the Moment, to add spices to it, our joyful and loud steemian @kilathecla was the first take selfie with YB Jennifer. Kudos to Her. Haha...

I was on the Whatapps Group (All The Time) to inform the rest of the people inside the hall of the YB arrival, as the MC @alvinauh has to announce it. Come to think back, it was pretty smooth actually. From this on, it was SHOWTIME for us. @alvinauh took the stage with glam and smile, which I think he did a very impressive starting note. He able to cheerfull the crowd and also have eye contact with the YB. Kudos to @alvinauh for taking the role of emceeing. Cheers to you bro.

From this on, it was pretty smooth sailing following the program that is scheduled. @danieldoughty being the Steemxp Founder and also the Organising Chairman led the floor on his welcoming note, followed by the Minister Speech.

First up of the program speakers is Jason Chew, where I think he did the awesome opening deck in his topic of "Blockchain and Why it Matters" followed up with Harpreet Singh, "What can and can't you use for Blockchain tech for". For them both, they should be proud because the Minister heard both of their deck as she had to leave for another function.

We invited Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) to cover her speech and also have them interview YB Jennifer Lasimbang.

It's in Bahasa Melayu, sorry if some do not understand it.

At this point, we sent off YB Jennifer off, and it was back to the auditorium. The most anticipating deck was @bitrocker2020, both I and @danieldoughty did not manage to catch him speak as we both still with the minister during that time. Oh well, sacrifices had to be made. After all the speakers have spoken on their deck, I can see the crowd were still hunger and stayed for more information on the topics in the blockchain.

After the event, we proceeded to Dplace Restaurant for a get together with Steemians and Speakers. It was a splendid evening, where the speakers get to hold the Butod (Sago Worms). Too bad they did not manage to try and eat it.
