The Journey of the street vendors !!!

I have seen street vendors in the news today located in manila ,taft avenue where in the MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority)asked them to relocate their items.Then an old vendor saying :

Hwag nyo na po ako paalisin dito eto na lang po pinagkakakitaan ko, wala na kong pamilya ,maawa na po kayo.

(please do not take me away from here ,this is my only source of income, i don't have family, I am begging you please ).

This is very touching words that i heard from that vendor in the news. My heart is broken ,i felt so sad.

I keep on dreaming that one day the government can do something for these vendors.I have seen how difficult for them to moved from one place to another just to earn a living. Imagine they are not young anymore,they are already senior citizens who need to take a rest and enjoy a little of their life.....i do not know if it is right to think the welfare of these old ones., but this is the way i see it.

Though one of the reason why the government is doing the clearing operation is because the state of congestion in the area has reached critical levels, with motorists finding it near impossible to get through.

If only we can find solution to this problem , we can help the street vendors ease the burden on their part in selling their products to earn a living and at the same time this will help boost our economy. There is only a need to provide everyone a fair share in this industry. No matter what their status in life.

I am hoping for a change in this situation.
