My Ledger Nano S and Coldbit Seed Backup Have Arrived!
Today my Coldbit steel seed backup arrived, which I had ordered after writing a post about it a few days ago. after showing my post to the owner of the company, he offered me a 50% discount, which I gladly used to order a complete set.
The Ledger Nano that I ordered had arrived a bit earlier, but I kept it sealed until the seed backup arrived as well.
Now I'm like a kid who has just received his Christmas presents, immediately setting up a new wallet and doing some test stamps on the additional steel slab that came with the Coldbit. They were kind enough to include some earplugs, which will definitely come in handy.
One thing I've noticed is that I'm going to need a bigger hammer, since it's pretty hard to get the letters stamped in correctly. The steel is extremely hard, but that means it's also going to be very durable. Might be a little bit of overkill in terms of security, but it will be worth it when the crypto prices start rising again.
I can recommend both products for sure!
Very cool! I would say show us the finished product when you are done, but I think we both know better than that :) It's really awesome that you were able to get discount on it from the owner! I have looked into hardware wallets in the past, but I haven't ever ordered one. The cost of the Nano is just prohibitive to me. Maybe if I had some larger holdings...
