The new version of the web browser Opera for computer will include a portfolio of cryptoactives, a feature that had already been added in its version for mobile devices. Users of this browser will be able to synchronize their existing wallet with this new update only by scanning a QR code.

Users can link their desktop wallets with their mobile devices, so that private keys and passwords can be stored on the phone. The user can sign the transactions with "their own fingerprints instead of using long phrases", to improve security, according to the statement. The new version is available from this August 8.

This browser has more than 320 million users globally, being one of the most used and safe. They even added a feature to prevent the devices of the browser users from being used to mine cryptocurrencies.

With its implementation in both media, Opra becomes the first of the large providers of this type of services to adopt cryptocurrencies. In addition, Opera Crypto could be translated into an impulse for other companies in the sector to make similar decisions and new users, or some already familiar, begin to relate more directly to cryptocurrencies.

This connection between the desktop version and the mobile device will allow the user to perform a secure lock of the telephone system. The storage of private keys and other sensitive information remains the responsibility of the user, since Opera will not work with a centralized server to handle this data.

As with the mobile application, the desktop client will support Ethereum tokens, as well as digital collectibles created in this network. CryptoKitties, collectibles from the MLB, as well as tokens generated in Initial Currency Offers (ICO) may be safeguarded using this tool.

Recall that the mobile version of this application was released in mid-July. Then the mobile version of the search engine included a wallet so that users can use their cryptocurrencies in a portable way, even to make purchases.

"Today's website will be the interface for the decentralized network of the future. That is why we have chosen to use our browser to close the gap, "Hamel said at the time.
