World is Changing Rapidly - Adapt or Get Crushed.

in #technology5 years ago (edited)

The world is changing rapidly. Technology is progressing at a rapid pace and is altering the fabric of our society.

If you look at some events in the past, such as the Welsh coal miners in the 20th century, you can see that this change doesn't always lead to the most desirable of outcomes. In fact, technological innovation can often be brutal in the way that it replaces human labour with better, more efficient machinery.

But as individuals, it's important for us to always be willing to move with the times and adapt when necessary, so that we can ultimately benefit in some way from this.

And it's equally important not to apply your moral judgements on this. It's not about what you think the future SHOULD look like, it's about being able to observe where society IS heading and adapting to that.

I think you are right on with many of your points.

A few thoughts - Yes, there is tremendous innovation, but it is mostly experimental right now. The real problem solving comes a little later. I think we're just at the beginning of some remarkable societal changes.

Western societies no longer represent the majority of the world's wealth. And we are slow to adopt cryptocurrencies because most of us don't need them (yet). When problems begin to be solved for the majority of the world's people, mass adoption of technological changes (including cryptocurrencies) will overwhelm us all and precipitate deep structural changes.

Looking forward to a discussion on UBI (Universal Basic Income) and how you feel cryptocurrencies may fit into that. Great job.

Wao wonderful analysis video.Changes is more important in our live.Changes is more important for our business.Your bussiness not gives you more profit. You you change something. You business gives you many profit.Your live is not going good. You change your live route. And your live going to good.Really verybinteresting topic. Thanks for sharing this great post.

This has always been the case in business and even in employment. Look at the likes of once behemoths like Kodak and Xerox which could not adapt to the hardware changes and mobility. I have also seen it happen to other generations that just could not work with computers. As technology progresses and provides efficient solutions, one most adapt and change accordingly or risk becoming irrelevant.

Nice to see you on here we need to get all the others here and on Dtube too

The World has indeed changed so much and is still changing. AI will change everything. I imagine a time will come when jobs will be obsolete. How we manage to adapt to the changing times will be a big factor for the faith of our entire species moving forward

Indeed. Businesswise it is quite dangerous if you can't keep up with the changing times. Too many companies even in Nigeria have paid dearly for that

They have feedback systems, that is mechanisms that tell them if a change is imminent. And if the direction they took is the right one. To adapt faster, follow these tips:

  • Create an active watch system to track your market

  • Observe your results continuously and adapt your plans

  • Treat the competition and results of other players in your market

    • Anticipate the big changes that can change the rules (like the arrival of social media on the web in 2004-2005)
  • Create predictive scenarios, confront them and adapt yourself

If you are able to anticipate change and adapt continuously, you automatically become more resilient.

The industrial revolution which started in the UK saw the Luddites destroying the new efficient machinery that took away their jobs in the cotton and woollen mills. We are now experiencing a technological revolution and the decentralised blockchain is going to play a big part. If a robot can do my job better than I can, I'm not going to destroy it. I will adapt and become a programmer of robots.

Until crypto prices rise substantially, I will not believe that crypto has a future. The market has been dead this year and the future of crypto looks dead as well. When my portfolio is down 70%, and has been for nearly a year, you can't say crypto is the future. Tech should be progressing faster and faster, a year is a long time for things to be dead like this, and the longer it lasts the more likely there is no future in it.
