In my last post, I talked about a possible future scenario, where technology would allow us to upload any knowledge or skill to our brain and so, we would not need to spend countless hours learning anything as it could be done within minutes.

As I was writing that post, another idea cropped up in my head. What if we could record our dreams (or any memories for that matter) and save it like we save any other videos on our various devices.

We've all been there where, when we wake up in the morning, we remember that we had a dream but couldn't quite remember what exactly it was, or that we see such an awesome dream that we would like to revisit it in some way or the other.

Wouldn't it be great then if we could someday have our dreams recorded and view them later at our convenience? It seems like there is already a lot of research being done on this matter already.

Digital Dreams

As I mentioned in the previous post, in the future, when we will have a digital aspect or accessory to our brains (which might sound like an absurd idea today but future generations may readily accept this), then we will be able to do all sorts of things.

One of those things would be the ability to record our dreams and possibly even interact with our dreams. We still do not understand them fully and the significance of the weird dreams that we have is still guess work at best. They might not even be of any significance for that matter.

But in any case, it would be such a fun experience to watch the videos of our dreams on our phones or laptops (or the equivalent of these in the future). It would be like watching a movie of your own creation without you actually creating it!

I can imagine a ton of companies of the future competing in this space, offering "ultra high quality" recordings or complementary holographic projections of your dreams! It sure is fun to imagine all the cool stuff we will be able to do even within this century.
