Every year, a security company called CrowdStrike reports - globally - to determine which groups of hackers make the most rapid invasions.

The document is composed of an analysis carried out using data from 176 countries, with the help of no less than 240 billion digital reports per day.

The main metric is called breakthrough time, which looks at the time it takes a hacker to infect a single computer until it starts to gain more access points and compromise more interconnected machine systems.

In March 2019 the most recent report was released and the team identified a curious fact. Basically, there are two types of invaders and their interests are completely different. One of the categories is already well known, it is e-crime: hackers practice cyber crimes with financial interests.

The other group - and these are the fastest ones - is made up of national digital espionage agents. Its main task is to get information from rival states (directly interfering with and damaging important systems).

The team counts on civil servants who are licensed to hack and hack into the infrastructure of other countries to find data that can be useful (and often secret) to various types of groups.

Are you curious to know who they are? Well, for some this is not exactly new... But the fastest hacker in the world is the russians! Their techniques to hack are highly developed and guarantees them this position with an enviable facility by the opponents.

Average time of a russian invasion:

In 2017: 1 minute and 58 seconds. In 2018: 4 minutes and 47 seconds.

Although the most recent index points to an increase in average time, they are still the fastest.
