Thirteenth Birthday Celebrates

Outside the Johannesburg South Africa Temple with Family and Friends on my son's 13th birthday.
Each year on our children's birthday, we take them to the Temple.
This is a sanctuary from the world and helps us keep focused on what really is important.
Within the Temple families can be sealed for time and all eternity, and we are endowed with power by learning what it is we need to know and do to enter the Celestial Kingdom of Heaven where God Our Eternal Father lives.
It is here my wife and I got married, not "until death do we part" but for time and all eternity on condition that we keep the sacred covenants we make within this Holy Place, it truly is "The House of the Lord".

Outside the Johannesburg South Africa Temple with Family and Friends on my son's 12th birthday.
This was a special occasion. At this important age of 12 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, young men may have the Aaronic Priesthood bestowed upon them and they can be ordained to the Office of Deacon within that Priesthood ALSO at this age they can enter into the Temple.
We made special arrangements, and my son was ordained a Deacon on his 12th birthday in the Gate House of the Temple and then we went into the Temple together to do work for our family. It was special and it can be seen in the faces of him, his sister and cousins who went into the Temple with him on this special day.
