Random temple find on a bike trip

in #th5 years ago

One of the great thing about riding a bike in random directions up here in northern Thailand is that there are LOADS of temples about. You can actually smell them (the incense) before you even get there.

This particular temple I didn't even know existed but was just a random encounter while i was riding my bicycle.

Waat San-Pa-Saak doesnt need to be remembered by anyone that is reading this. It likely will not be visited by me again but it was a nice discovery and just like all the temples I encounter, i think it is a nice addition to the community.

Once again, i did not have the correct clothes on to get closer so all of these shot were taken from afar.

I think that however awful my shots are that this adds some level of credibility to the fact hat this area is just chock-full of culture. I wasn't even looking for this temple but i found it anyway and there are hundreds, perhaps thousands of others in the area. Just an amazing city here in Chiang Mai.

Beautiful Tempel. I thought as man you can wear almost evrything when you enter a tempel maybe not a tang top shirt.

I know for the girls are strict rules.

I was wearing a tank top because it was crazy hot and i was exercising on a bicycle. As a man you can wear almost whatever, but I don't want to break any courtesies, even though as a foreigner, they probably wouldn't even say anything to me.

You are a really respectful Person. I like how you handle the things. Keep Up. Respect Thailand.

That is pretty cool. I like the fact that they just have them all about the place. Kind of like castles in England. Also very interesting that you can smell the incense before you see them. I have a feeling the incense over there is much fresher and impactful than the typical sandalwood and patchouli you get over here.

if they used patchouli I would move away. :P

A very rich and mystical culture. Beautiful temples and sculptures that you share with us, @gooddream. You know to me the smell of incense would have led me there, I love it and enjoy it very much. Greetings, happy day.
