I've a small collection of tickets from the eighties.

This one is for what turns out to have been the press night for King Lear at the National in 1986. The standout performances were of course Anthony Hopkins (who was then five years younger than I am now!) as the old fellow himself and Roshan Seth as his fool. But I also remember Anna Massey as a vicious Goneril and Bill Nighy as a soft and ultimately suckered Edgar. And I remember holding back tears (21 year old men don't cry in the theatre, especially when they're in the third row of the stalls and have a long walk to the exit) at the tragically (un)avoidable ending.

Information about theatrical productions has not quite entered the 21st Century. There's this cast list here, but that seems to have been taken manually from a programme held in the Bristol University archive. Why aren't these things easily available on the National's website? How hard could it be? What legal issues might crop up? Can't think of any straight off.
