MY TIME OUT ON STEEMGIGS DISCORD TALK SHOW LAST NIGHT WITH @SURPASSINGGOOGLE
I had another amazing time out with 'steemgigians' on the @steemgigs discord talk show yesterday.
I arrived a little late when @mermaidvampire had already been through reading out @surpassinggoogle's messages. The show was an informative one as the topic of the day centered around ways to improve steemit and also how individuals can develop his or her steemit career.
Terry Ajayi (@surpassinggoogle) never fails to tell anybody who cares to listen that steem shouldn't always be seen as money. "Steemit is not a money making venture".
According to his line of thought, individuals who come to steemit platform solely because of its financial benefits will end up getting frustrated and their hopes dashed.
"When next you are introducing steemit to people, don't start by telling them the money part of it" he said.
According to him, people should first of all be informed of other unique ways in which the steemit platform could change their lives rather than the worth of upvotes they will get. The platform exists to improve the inner part of human soul. The personal and interpersonal development aspect of steemit is paramount.
"In fact, when next you're telling the person next door about steemit, tell them that it is just a platform similar to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the rest. The only dynamic difference between this platform and the aforementioned is that you don't get rewarded on those social media platforms but you do get rewarded on here if you're consistent and 'visible'.
"Register your presence on the block chain and you won't continue to worry about upvotes any longer"
The after party show was hugely transformed into another steemit enlightenment and mentorship session. @mermaidvampire left explosive remarks on the dashboard while @snook came on voice to further stress on the importance of being present on the steemit platform. Steemit always provide a level playing ground for everyone; whether whale or minnow. The difference is in the amount of hardwork you put into it.
"Nothing is hidden on the blockchain, "even Ned's wallet is open and accessible".
We all laughed and made funny jokes. The utmosphere was just brilliant until @surpassinggoogle announced his health challenges and that of his dad. That moment was so tensed and emotional for me. For a moment, I started wishing I had supper powers; If I could just do something to end the pain. Oh gosh!
Anyways Jehovah is still on the throne. We all wished him quick recovery, good health and everlasting healing. @snook spoke a whole lot on relevant issues like having a big goal and how such goals could deny you of sleep irrespective of your health condition. Anyways, a big dream is better lived while awake, they say!.
In all we had fun. Many thanks to Terry Ajayi for being such an incredible talker. Very inspiring things he says to us at the STEEMGIGS discord show every week. He proposed that next week's topic on the Channel should be about 'how steem is not money'. Ofcourse, Nobody would want to miss that show for anything! Lol
