A Quick Cuddle
The past few years have been a real whirlwind in our lives. On our homestead, on the road, and now in Northern Michigan. One of the largest changes that has happened in our lives is the Sabbath. We were keeping it pretty regularly on Sunday, but it wasn't sitting well with us. After alot of prayer and research, we have been observing the Sabbath on Saturday.
This isn't a post about my faith, but a post about the time that I have gained in my life. I am typically going non stop from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. There always seems to be something happening. When Saturday comes around everything stops.
I don't create content. I don't work on The Inner Blocks. I don't talk about finances. I just exist.
One thing that I have found relieving is the ability to set my phone down and walk away. The ease has brought me to a wonderful place. Yesterday, I happened to have my phone on me and I caught this shot. I laid myself down on the back porch and took a nap. I wasn't alone though. I'm not sure if you all know about George. He is my best pal. I love him deeply and I share my world with him. We cuddle and talk together. We nap together. We work together. I tell him when things are wrong and I even share my energy with him ( I joke and say it will make his belly upset).
While I was taking the opportunity to relax and catch some shut eye he was there. I let my guard down, so he puts his up. I love that he feels the need to take care of me and watch out for me while I nap. Crap..I love that dog.

Yep. Dogs sure are loyal to their owners. Glad you’re finding rest on Saturdays brother. Good time to recharge the ol’ batteries and keep on movin’. Blessings to you all

What a relaxing photo to go with a great post. I love the idea of a day of rest. I haven't figured out how to manage it yet, but I will keep trying! I hope George's dance with the cow poop was well over before the cuddle.
Yeah, we were working and praying through it and we felt thay the best thing we could do would be to pu5 God first and take the day as an act of worship.....without it we were all out of whack and felt terrible. Yeah, George was all cleaned up before we cuddled haha
