...to seek the service of Alfred, a dragon slayer for hire. So the king send a messenger to summon Alfred. Several days later, the infamous dragon slayer arrived riding a griffin as mount! The king was awed seeing such an incredible sight.

Alfred the dragon slayer walked towards the king. He then gave a slight bow as a sign of respect. The king looked at Alfred and can't help but admit that he is a man of grit. He had a feeling that this man might just succeed in subjugating the dragon

Alfred introduced himself to the king, and inquire about the dragon that have been terrorizing the kingdom. After knowing the situation, he asked for some supplies before heading off. The next day he arrived at the place the dragon was last seen.

There he saw the damage the dragon caused. Yet when he asked around he found out that the said dragon have not actually killed anyone but only feed on livestocks. Despite this though, Alfred is determined to hunt the dragon. Finding no more clues...

The dragon looked at Alfred with interest. It then urges Alfred to speak. Taking a deep breath, Alfred lay down his plan. Hearing it, the dragon could not helped but guffawed. "Interesting! Truly interesting! Fine, I accept!" The dragon exclaimed.

The two flew towards the capital but this time Alfred's no longer a hostage, and is actually allowed to ride the dragon's back. Meanwhile, Feather had seen all this and is very confused by the sudden change.

Before long, a man and dragon combo reached the kingdom's capital followed by a tired griffin. "So this is the capital? It's smaller than I thought. The ones I saw in my dreams were ten times larger than this." The dragon said with disdain.

The dragon went towards the castle where the king is waiting. Upon arrival they saw the soldiers fully armed but one could see the fear in their eyes. Knowing that they will only die if they fight the dragon, Alfred intervened and asked for the king.

The king nervously appear before Alfred and the dragon. "I've come to report the result of my mission, your majesty!" Alfred proclaimed. "The result of your mission? You don't mean—" Alfred cut off the king's words, and said "yes, that is correct."

Alfred explained the situation promptly. While listening, the king could not help but wonder at Alfred's quick thinking. Any normal man would have given up if they were in his shoes. "So that's it. I understand." The king nodded.

"But can we really trust him?" King asked. "He and I are bound by an oath, your majesty. As long as I uphold my oath the dragon will too." Alfred assured. "Of course his protection do not come cheap." He added.

Relieved by what Alfred said, the king quickly agreed to his proposition and gift a certain valley as the dragon's territory. With a dragon protecting the kingdom, other kingdom will think twice before attacking. Alfred seeing the king's...

...expression knew what the king is thinking. Therefore, he warned the king not to put too fate on the dragon as the dragon's race pride is very well known. Realizing that.he'd gotten to caught up on the situation, the king apologized.

Alfred no longer pursue the matter and reported the terms agreed by him and the king to the dragon. "Oh? Well, I don't really care. I'll do whatever I wanted anyway, whether there's an agreement or not." The dragon declared with a yawn.

After saying its piece the dragon flew towards the valley that is to becoming its new home. Days later the news that a dragon had become their kingdom's protector. The citizens are awed and was besides themselves with joy. But that joy...

Alfred received the summon and arrived quickly. "Greetings your majesty! How could I be of service?" Alfred greets the king and asked why he was being summoned. The king greets Alfred as well. After a brief pleasantries, he went straight to business.

"Sir Alfred, I assumed that you already knew what happened?" The king started. Alfred nod signaling his understanding of the matter. "Those monsters have gone too far! I beseech you to ask the lord dragon and eradicate them." The king pleaded.

After talking to the king, Alfred proceed to meet the dragon. But to his surprise the dragon was already out of its lair seemingly waiting for him. "Took you long enough." The dragon complained and then flew towards the destroyed village.

Alfred frown in displeasure after seeing the destruction. The scent of blood was still strong and there are even dead bodies of humans and monsters. Even the usually willful dragon is silent. "I can feel the presence of dark magic," the dragon said.

"Are you sure?" Startled by what the dragon said, Alfred quickly asked. "No doubt and it is most likely casted by a powerful dark magician," the dragon affirmed. "Can you trace it?" Alfred asked. "Sure but..."

"...it could be very dangerous." The dragon answered. "No matter the danger we need to find and stop that person!" Alfred didn't back down. "Fine. Give me a moment." The dragon concentrates and then flew! "Follow me!"

Arriving at their destination, Alfred saw a large city not far away. The dragon then told Alfred that the dark aura was nearby. Startled, he looked around but found nothing suspicious.

The dragon flew towards a clearing in the forest. "This should be the place where the ritual was held." it said. "No other clue?" Alfred looked at the clearing but couldn't find anything that point at the culprit's direction.

"The culprit's still here," the dragon sneered after realizing that the one responsible for the monster attack was still in the area. "You think you could hide from me? Keeo dreaming!" The dragon took a deep breath and used dragon breath. "Aaahhh!!!"

"Who are you!!!" A man covered in flame came out of hiding and tried to extinguished the flame but... "Do you really believed that a dragon's flame can be easily extinguished?" The dragon sneered.

The dragon used its massive claw to grasp the struggling man. "Who are you?" Alfred asked the dragon to extinguish the flame then started questioning the man. "Don't expect me to talk," the man said. "Is that so?" Alfred gestured the dragon.

Sensing something dangerous the mysterious man wanted to escape but was easily overpowered by the dragon. Before long a terrified wail was heard inside the forest. "Please stop! I'll tell you everything I know! The man then told Alfred the truth."

"I figured it was them..." Alfred sighed after confirming his suspicions. "You know them?" The dragon asked. "Yeah, they're the kingdom of Glase's elite mage faction. But to think they dabbled in dark magic." Alfred answered, his expression grim.
