Bitcoin Payments Being Accepted Through Trial at Casual Hoteles in Spain Along with Amazon Pay

Casual Hoteles, a hotel chain with multiple locations in Spain, has seen what blockchain technology can do around the world, and how cryptocurrency has connected multiple industries and countries. In order to see how well Bitcoin works for their own needs, the hotel chain has launched a pilot that will be testing out payments from customers in Bitcoin. Right now, the hotel chain has multiple locations in Madrid, Valencia, Lisbon, and San Sebastián.

Right now, the company is attempting to broaden the scope of customers that could stay at their locations, hoping for tech-savvy individuals with affordable pricing in mind. The pilot with Bitcoin will make their brand known to digital investors, who will also have access to Amazon Pay, with the use of mobile devices and digital payment options.

Anyone who wants to use Bitcoin with their purchase has a few ways to apply it. According to Daily HODL, the customer has the option of scanned a QR code at the hotel’s front desk or on the hotel’s website, or they can use WhatsApp to retrieve a euro-based payment code. The latter would make it possible to use BitPay as the payment processor to withdraw Bitcoin and settle in euro. e6d294378bc4ba4e7c960b529d3dd752.jpg
