Well done for sticking around for a year and building up your coins/tokens and followers in a trending down market value. So many gave up in this time. I joined for the same reason you did to hopefully make an income. Was looking good when I joined at a steem price around $4.50 that did not last long. Hoping the price would go up but it basically just kept dropping and as the dapps started coming out I was looking to them to help generate more value here.
With the huge delay in SMT's it has put a much longer timeframe on being able to draw out any kind of an income yet. I was mainly hooked on the actifit dapp and was expecting to be able to use those tokens for some income within a few months. Now almost a hole year later and we still can not use actifit tokens so I just keep collecting them hoping to be able to use them someday soon😁 as well as other tokens.
Can get a bit frustrating seeing steem price going down and dapp tokens having no way to use most of them to draw an income from yet. I hope this will change by the end of this year for us 😁

Yeah, occasionally I question my sanity sticking with it and in fact increasing my commitment here as the price continues to plunge. But then I go find a post from @tarazkp, @taskmaster4450 or @theycallmedan and hope is restored once again.
My wife keeps asking why I spend so much time here. I keep telling her that in a couple of years, she'll either think I'm a genius, or an idiot.
Lets hope its the former and all this turns out to have been worthwhile.

Time will tell I guess. It's still an interesting ride, even if it doesn't pay off, lots to do. Also, It's nice to have some hope to make real life a little more bearable. Better than wasting money on Lotto's or something.
