Punctuality in Business, the mystery of being timely on appointment.
In different corners of the world, people are getting jobs just because the most favourite candidates didn't show up on time.
Punctuality is the soul of business goes a popular saying, in fact half of the World population must have said this one time or on many occasions, unfortunately, these three Billion plus people may never adhere to that slogan.
Time is essential for business, delivering tasks on time to clients, showing up earlier for a business meeting, getting early to work all falls in the same category, its an attitude an individual has to develop and evolve with. If it involves a change in your lifestyle, then you have to evolve with it.
Jones (fictional name) comes to work earlier than even the janitor and office cleaners, several times he felt he came to work far too early and at times feels bad about it.
One day, on a cold morning, he arrived early as usual and found the office opened for business. He was calling the janitor and cleaners when his boss came and touched him by his shoulders, startled he swung around and saw his boss.
The boss smiled back at him and said " i have a meeting now and i have been thinking how i am going to deliver it alone, but you just saved my day"
Jones got a raise at the end of the month for all those years of early arrival, even when he felt discouraged he never stopped.
Many Jones exist out there, roaming the street without job and many businesses are lacking apt time keepers, people whose punctuality might save a business. But, lack of motivation seems to be the bulk of the excuses for not been punctual, hence there is laxity in sticking with time in several establishment.
Being prompt never kills or demoralized you, its getting late that does the damage e.g. loss of job, salary deduction, queries, probation and so on.
Save your business, keep your job. Stick to being prompt and timely over being late, it will save you a whole lot of emotional stress.
