🚴 Tour de France 2018 | STAGE-BY-STAGE GUIDE | Stage 3 [& Predictions]
Another chaotic stage yesterday but arguably less impact on the main GC contenders. The riders will no doubt be looking forward to today's Team TT, and a few teams will be looking to make amends for the losses that they have suffered so far.

Stage Profile;
One of the most difficult TTT's that we've seen in recent years. An undulating course that will probably be dominated by the main GC teams (Team Sky, Mitchelton-Scott, BMC, etc.), and there is definitely potential for some huge time gaps. With Geraint Thomas already in a commanding position at 7th in the GC (after two sprint stages), Team Sky could catapult their Super Domestique into a very good position after just three stages (such a good position that Chris Froome might not even be able to catch the Welshman).
Teams with less time-trialling prowess will probably look to save energy and won't go full gas on today's stage - Dimension Data & Mark Cavendish have already stated that they'll be holding back for upcoming stages. I think we'll see a huge narrowing in the GC battle and today will be a good marker for the teams that have the quality and depth to go all the way!
My Prediction;
BMC Racing - BMC are undoubtedly the strongest TT team at the Tour and will be looking to move Richie Porte up the leaderboard. It'll be close between BMC and Team Sky, but I think the former will edge this one in the end.
