Karakoyun Creek and Hızırmalı Bridge legend in Şanlıurfa is based centuries ago. According to the rumor, rainwater from the mountain in winter from the Hızmalı Bridge passes through here and spreads to the gardens. In the summer, he is an air conditioner. With the freezing wind blowing in the summer heat of Urfa, the people cool down there and let the country breathe.

Here is the story of Karakoyun Creek and Hızapı Bridge

Centuries ago, a poor mother and son lived in the southeast of the city. The Son is a kaşarcı River. One day a Dervish came to the region, after watching the boy for a few days: “son, I watched you. I see you're a hardworking, honest person. I understand you're in trouble. I'il be back to my country soon, it's a wealthy place. Come with me if you want." He gives advice to his mother, and his mother lets him go, saying he can get rid of poverty.

The Dervish takes the boy to his club and trains him. One day, the young man sees a beautiful girl in the bazaar, falls in love with her. When he investigates, he finds out that the girl is Karakoyunlu Bey's daughter. Cut without eating. When Dervish finds out about the situation, he says, “don't worry, we want the girl.” He'il get to the palace the next day. He'il tell the gentleman about the situation, he'il get angry, but he won't make any noise to avoid disrespect. Dervish tells her to give her the gift and the money she wants in forty days. What they want is not as complete in forty days. And Dervish is poor too. The young man who learns the situation is sad and starts to melt from day to day. When the young man wakes up, he sees mule laden with goods and gold in the courtyard of Dervish lodges. He runs and informs the Dervish. Dervish smiles. He'il take these to the gentleman. Desperate Bey, gives his daughter to the wedding-association is established.

Dervish tells the boy to pray two RAK'ahs before entering the wedding, and then to pray for him. After so many adventures, the young man is so happy and enthusiastic that he makes prayers, but forgets to pray for dervishes. When he wakes up the next morning because he does not pray for Dervish, he finds himself on the banks of the Kaşarci stream. What you've been through sounds like a dream to yourself. He goes and tells his mother what happened. They have nothing to do and they return to their former lives.

The girl who is the new bride, when she wakes up, when she can't see her husband, she searches everywhere, but no one can find her trace. By the way, he was in the Dervish. When the time comes, she'il have a son. When the child grows up, he sets out to search for his husband and perform his pilgrimage. It reaches Urfa on its way. Samsat makes tents in front of the door, he hears the screams. The stream from the middle of the city overflowed, houses flooded and the city was largely damaged. Mr. daughter intends to save the city from a repeated flood every few years. Hajj will spend his money on this. Tell ' em out and call people to dig ditches. By the will of his mother, our boy joins the trench boilers. During the studies, the Bey keeps her child crying, she can't be silenced. The workers take it in their lap and seize it. When the child comes to his father's lap, He stops and smiles by looking around him. The gentleman takes the boy out of the ditch job and tasers him to entertain the boy. In the meantime, the boy's mother finds the wedding dress embroidered with gold as she shuffles her son's bouquets: “my son, this dress is no longer suitable for us. Let's give him a present to the lady who touched the city so much.” Clothes are taken to the man's daughter's tent. When she sees the gift, she recognizes it from her own handwork, and orders the Finder to be found immediately. They bring the boy. As soon as they see each other, they get to know each other.

By the way, the ditch is complete. By changing the bed of the stream, the danger of flooding was prevented. Then a bridge is made on the stream. If the bridge collapses in the following years, bey's daughter buried her precious stones under one of the bridge legs, so that a new one can be made in place. From that day on, the name of the Stream is Karakoyun Creek because of the name of the daughter of Bey, and the name of the bridge is Hızmalı Bridge because of the acceleration on her feet.

Bey's daughter and the boy live a happy life here, and when they die, they are buried on the banks of Karakoyun Creek.
