Kalinga Bodong Festival is considered as one of the major event of the province and a pride of the Cordillera region.

Let's talk about the Kalinga province first. Well, it is surrounded by the Province of Abra, Isabella, Cagayan, Apayao and Mt. Province. Situated in the northern part of the Philippines.

Kalinga have this Bodong festival which was started way back in December, 2016. The said event was established as "an instrument of peace". Kalinga is known for the history of tribal war with the near provinces before. Since the BODONG was set and accepted by the people, we can't now hear any tribal wars.

What are the activities during the festival?

1. Float parade highlights of the festival.
2. Cultural parade presenting every tradition and culture of the province.
3. The street dance parade.
4. The Kalinga Tapestry Show presenting the hand woven indigenous fabrics by the Kalinga people.

****BODONG*** means "peace pact or peace rite".
