Some people who are very young (suppose 20 or less) have maximum heart rates much below 200 which shouldn't be the case if we used the formula.

What scientific research in oxygen and carbon dioxide input and output have shown, is that the heart rate tends to be in isolation, the best indicator for when you are aerobic or anaerobic.
