The Challenge of Anti-coalition 反対阵缐的挑战

An entity that involves several parties can become very powerful in a time that they are fighting against a common enemy, and they are basically an anti-coalition. But such coalition can be loosened once they have defeated their common enemy. If they are unable to forge a new common purpose, they can easily become fragmented due to individual interests or concerns.

How should they prevent fragmentation and be united for a new challenge?

First, all the parties should be aware that fragmentation is real and they need to foster a viable relationship to keep them together to be stronger for their common challenge ahead.

Second, they need to focus on a united vision much larger than the interest of each and every party concerned. They must go together to accomplish such vision, failing which, everyone will suffer, but each party is blessed when the vision accomplished.

Third, they need to inculcate some values with the hope that such values will become the concerns and natural practice of each party.

Taking corruption as an example, it has been a way of life for many countries that all good parties have to wrestle with it continuously. Once, several parties are willing to join their effort to fight against it, it may diminish. When it is no longer a prevalent problem, these parties can work together for a grander vision, which is corruption free, and a better life for every body. In order to accomplish such vision, a system may have to be installed to help accomplish it.

Supposedly, over time the vision is accomplished. The same problem may resurface. It resurfaces because there has not been a transformation of values in the life of the people. Reformation may have taken place by accomplishing the vision of having a corruption free society. However, only transformation of value can lead to a better society, that is not only corruption free, but people have adopted the value of unselfishly caring for one another.

As a matter of fact, it is only an ideal that any nation, society or people can ever be totally freed from corruption and unselfishly caring for one another. Therefore, the anti-coalition that seeks to be a blessing for their people and nation should not be contented by overcoming their common enemy, those who have caused pain and suffering to others because of their selfishness and abuse of power. The anti-coalition should continue to work together for reformation of the society, which may require them to embrace a grand vision together. While striving to achieve the vision, the coalition should help to inculcate relevant values to transform themselves, the people and their nation. Certainly, transformation is an unending challenge facing any party or coalition in the world. Therefore, it always remains as a mission to be accomplished here on this earth. Nevertheless, it is an enduring challenge, and let us remember,
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”

由几个政党组成的反対阵缐在面对共同的敌人会变得非常强大，当他们站在反方时基本上是合一的。但是，一旦击败了共同的敌人，这种阵缐就可能松缷下来。如果他们无法建立一个新的共同目标，他们很容易因为个人利益或个别的关注点而面临分裂的威胁。

他们应该如何防止分裂并团结起来迎接新的挑战呢？

首先，各方应该意识到分裂是一项真实的威胁。他们需要建立一种关系，以促使他们可以持久地在一起，並为了共同的挑战而做出进一步的努力。

其次，他们需要有一个共同的愿景，並以它作为优先及超越个别单位利益的目标。
如果他们忽略了或不能达成共同的愿景，每个人都会受苦，然而愿景完成时将会造福各组织及所有的人。

第三，除了共同的愿景，他们还需要灌输適当的价值观，並且期待这些价值观会成为每个组织或群体自然流露出来的生活方式。

就以贪污为例，对许多国家来说，反贪污是一个好政党或政府持续的行动，他们也会期待有一天情操能成为大衆的一种生活方式。一旦，各政党及政府都努力反贪污，贪污就有可能减少。有一天当它不再是一个普遍存在的问题时，这些政党就可以继续站在同一阵限共同努力，要实现一个更加宏伟的愿景，即是一个没有腐败贪污，每个人都能獲得更美好的生活。有了共同的愿景或宏愿，通常还需要一个有効率的运作系统，不然便難以实现。

随着时间，愿景已经实现。然而，同样的问题如贪污腐败可能会再次出现。优其是在人们的生活还没有经历过价值观念的转变，它就更快重新出现。改革可以透过外在的努力如厳格執行律法取得一定的成果。然而，只有价值转化才能真正带来更好的社会，即不仅是无腐败的，而且人们会采取无私的爱待人。

事实上，如果要一个国家、社会或人民完全摆脱腐败，无私地彼此相爱，这只是一种理想。因此，为了人民和国家的前途而建立的反对阵限，不只是要把自私和滥用权力者打倒，他们应该为改革社会而继续努力，一同拥抱这更大的宏愿。然而在努力改革社会，有关阵限还要灌输正确价值观来改变自己，人民和国家。当然，改革是世界上任何一个好政党或政府要面対的持续挑战。而价值轉化始终是今天世界未完成的使命。面对这持久的挑战，讓我们回应，
“公義使邦國高舉； 罪惡是人民的羞辱!”

This morning my wife and me came across a very big butterfly at our backyard. It reminds me the metamorphosis or transformation that has changed a worm into a beautiful butterfly. Can we do anything leading to a societal or national transformation?
今天早上太太和我發现在住家后院有一隻大蝴蝶。这使我想起了变形或轉化，结果由一條虫变成了一隻美丽的蝴蝶。我们能否作些事以至社会或国家得到轉化呢？
