Catching an Ellenator on the road

again on my travels I have seen a strange vehicle. I thought at the beginning that I was spooking but after the expression of the drivers of other vehicles I was confirmed that this vehicle looked like this.
It was a Fiat 500 but with a strange rear axle where the gap between the wheels is much smaller.
That awoke my curiosity and wanted to see what a model it is.
It is not an official Fiat model but a conversion. In Germany it's called Ellenator and it's considered a tricycle vehicle. The name comes from the one who rebuilds these vehicles, Ellenrieder who wanted a safer vehicle for his child than what he found on the market.
From 2013, these vehicles were introduced and you drive the when you are 16, the class has A1 and the distance of the wheels on the rear axle is less than 460 mm. And one more thing, the engine should have less than 15 kW of power.
It used to be a converted Seat Ibiza, VW Polo and Skoda Fabia. Today you only build the Fiat 500. And that is very expensive. Such a conversion costs 5000 euros, in addition to the price of the car. If you want to drive something like that and can not wait, you have to dig deep into your pocket.
Have you seen such vehicles? It's a bit like the BMW Isetta.
wieder auf meinen Reisen habe ich ein merkwürdiges Fahrzeug gesehen. Ich dachte am Anfang das ich spinne aber nach dem Ausdruck der Fahrer der anderer Fahrzeuge wurde mir bestätigt das diese Fahrzeug sah so aus.
Es war ein Fiat 500 aber mir einer seltsamen Hinterachse wo der Spalt zwischen den Räder viel kleiner ist.
Das hat meine Neugier erweckt und wollte sehen was für ein Model es ist.
Es ist kein offizielles Fiat Model sondern ein Umbau. In Deutschland nennt es man Ellenator und es wird als ein Dreirad Fahrzeug angesehen. Der Name kommt von dem der diese Fahrzeuge umbaut, Ellenrieder der ein sichereres Fahrzeug für sein Kind wollte als was man auf den Markt gefunden hat.
Ab 2013 wurden diese Fahrzeuge eingeführt und man die fahren wenn man 16 ist, die Klasse A1 besitzt und der Abstand der Räder auf der Hinterachse unter 460 mm liegt. Und noch etwas, der Motor sollte unter 15 kW Leistung haben.
Früher hat man Seat Ibiza, VW Polo und Skoda Fabia umgebaut. Heute baut man nur den Fiat 500 um. Und das ist sehr teuer. So ein Umbau kostet 5000 Euro, zusätzlich zu dem Preis des Autos. Wer so was fahren möchte und nicht mehr warten kann muss sehr tief in die Tasche greifen.
Habt ihr solche Fahrzeuge gesehen? Es erinnert ein bisschen an den BMW Isetta.

That is just pretty darn weird in my humble opinion.
I never understood the attraction of the Isetta, either. Maybe I'm just missing something.
Well, this gives you the chance to drive from 16 in Germany. Else everybody can drive only from 18. That is the only advantage of it. It is legal a lesser car than the normal one and a little more safety than a motorroller. I would buy an Isetta only for renting it out :)
