How I celebrated PI day
Hello,
today was PI-day. PI as in one of the most important numbers, the 3.14...
I love geometry and Pi is a geometric crucial number. Without his existence the world would look plain straight, without any curves and rounds.
I had a busy day and have invited a customer for a drink in town. I like to take the people out of the meeting rooms and office buildings. Without the concrete pressure the plain discussion turns into a friendly one. Like this relationships are being build.
The customer I've invited is a mathematician by profession, so it was the perfect time to speak about Pi and the day. He was surprised I knew about it, but after telling him some of my past work where I worked in research and where I've submitted some patents the discussion turned into something more scientific.
I like deeper discussion behind the shallowness of the usual day.

Pi also crops up in probability. The function f(x)=e-x², where e=2.71828… is Euler’s number, describes the most common probability distribution seen in the real world, governing everything from SAT scores to locations of darts thrown at a target. The area under this curve is exactly the square root of π.
