Having fun @red sand dunes

I was looking for an affordable place to eat for lunch. I found this place next to the corner of the hotel. It was lovely I saw a lot of local eating there. I try to get in and order a vegetable soup with rice and chicken. I'm surprised cause really cheap. The staff can't speak English so I only point the food I want to eat but they keep smiling at me. I was happy for that kind of response. It means they're trying to communicate with me. I joined the local on the table no one else talking, only sign language and big smile. There's a mature man who really keeps on smiling at me with sign language, in my understanding ( The food taste good?)I responded yes. It is really tasty I like local food and first time to try Vietnamese street food. When two guys heard about me talking English they started to talk and say hello. I started smiling and saying this is it. I can finally interact with local without knowing these guys work as a flight attendant at Vietnamese airline company. I just wowed. They invited me to visit north of Vietnam but I said on the next trip hopefully. It was so nice meeting these people. The short conversation it meant a lot to me.

I moved to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon stayed at kiki's hostel. It was a good spot in the City center along the market2x road which is really convenient. To tell you honestly this was a first time to experience in a hostel in abroad. I've been to Thailand before but I didn't stay in a hostel. I find out that this is the most affordable and wise decision that I ever made. The hostel was very accommodating and entertaining staff. They also have a great view at night on the terrace where you can get a drink and watch over the street lights. I like it never expect like this.

Kiki's hostel

I supposed to travel going to Cambodia on the next day. But I didn't decide yet. Instead, I traveled going to Mui ne in the south part of Vietnam. Cause I really wanted to see the desert in real. I visit this place called "red sand dunes and white sand dunes". I drive a motorbike in the middle of a sunny day but it was a humid weather. I'm feeling like a toasted human being on the whole trip. When I reached the place I forget the sun and the weather. I said that everything I sacrifice for my skin is worth it. haha! who would have thought I will reach this place? I never thought that.

First, stop at the white sand dunes. Got lucky then there were no people except us. I owned the place, I claimed it was just me, the sand and my friend. The sand is really blowing on our face and body. I think when the wind is strong I will be flying together with the sand. It was really sandy and the texture of the sand like a sugar. If I could only think like that I would say I'm on a top of white sugar dunes. Does it make sense? It super full of happiness and couldn't resist it. I jump, I dance, I run and lay down on the dunes. It may sound crazy but it's true I get crazy. If you never been to a place like this before. what would you do and how you react? May it be similar to the things I did?

White sand dunes

The view is incredible, unique and amazing. I saw the lotus lake but didn't go closer it's a bit far from the dunes. If I were able to get a chance I will be back here to see more around. It was just a quick visit. I had so much fun in the sand and sun. You can see the proof through my skin color. I get tan more than I think like a charcoal.

When about to sunset I drive going to another spot at red sand dunes where you can watch the sunset till its gone. I was there waiting since I arrived earlier, I enjoy myself being with the sand, just get crazy playing around never mind the sandy hair and body. It makes me feel better when I can be myself. The place is so simple yet captivating for the tourist like me.

Red sand dunes

The red sand like a brown sugar cause of the texture and color. It may look red in the picture, actually, it is brown. You see how amazing it is. A lot of tourists stop here to see the real beauty of the dunes. You can see how the sunset meets the sand dunes, the light is bright like a gold from the sky and called it golden hour.

If happen you come to Mui ne don't miss this place. It is worth to visit. You will enjoy and make the best memories in your life. No pretension I was really happy to be here, to get a salty hair, and did crazy things. It's my first time to step on the desert very unforgettable. Looking forward to more desert coming on my way, it might be on the next trip? Who knows! I will try.

I stop this place cause of its beauty. I told to my friend how I was impressed in this country. While we are looking for a good view of the photo seen these people making a film. It could be Vietnamese film I guess so. The place is romantic and quite. It's a lovely place to take the short film. but actually, I thought this place called red canyon, I was wrong after then.

I visit the fairy spring cause it was on the map one of the visited spots in Mui ne. However, I just ended up nothing. I wear pants, didn't know that I have to walk through the water in order to get the main fairy spring. I felt bad about that. But still happy with what I've seen. The rock formation is very sharp and unique form. It's really different from those rocks I've seen in the past.

I was staying in a fancy hostel in Mui ne. It's really beautiful and didn't expect it was cheap. The name of the hostel is called Mui ne budget hostel there was a pool, and restaurant. Kind of a perfect place for a gets together with travelers. It's nice to hangout to the people you think its stranger. You will meet amazing people and make new friends in the same place with the same traveler mind. This is the whole I enjoy whenever I travel.

If you worry about the place where to stay when you visit Mui ne. I recommend staying at this hostel. Also, there's more good place when you visit the @hostelworld.com. (350php / 6usd)

Before leaving the country of Vietnam. I avail the package tour of visiting "Mekong delta river" very affordable tour for around (700php) it's 2 hours away from the City via bus. I'm the only Filipino inside the bus. Then I was the only one who is very noisy. I got the vibe with the tourist guide. I was joking and kidding with him all the time. He uses to tease someone too.

It will never be complete without Mekong delta river and very important to experience the culture in every country you visited. Get on the narrow boat, paddle your way down the river under the palm trees. There are people selling their products on the ride. If you want just stop and buy. This boatman point the house of his family where they live together in a tiny little house in the river. So he deserves and received something before we get off from the boat. I think everyone deserves any gifts from the heart.

After the river, we cruise to the coconut candy factory where you can see and know the different types of coconut candy in the making. It also teaches you how to open the coconut and remove the flesh inside. There were several ways to do it in old to latest tools. I saw a jar color yellow without knowing it was a snake inside. I asked what it is, then told its a snake wine. I didn't try cause little bit scared and look disgusting. Some of the tourist with us try the snake wine and told us very strong and taste good. I really wonder how it becomes a wine. Anyway, exotic is still the best to try but I have never done yet.

The tour is included the lunch. We went to a place where still a part of Mekong river, there was no electric fan. Can't imagine yourself sitting in the oven. The weather is freaking hot since the first day I arrived. It's incomparable humid weather. I eat like an army so I finish in less than 5minutes. haha. I walk around to see the area and found this hanging metal porch swing. I gotta break. Here's is cool I can breathe. I'm feeling like a kid. Lol!

Never seen like this before. There so many crocodiles waiting for someone to feed them if you have seen their mouth is open. They really hungry. Have you ever try to feed the crocodile?

At night time there's a lot of option where you want to go. In every corner of the area where I was staying at; bars, club, coffee shop, and restaurant. Everything is convenient and easy. Want to have fun? no worries in Ho Chi Minh city a lot of things to do. You'll definitely be enjoying the trip. I have tried the tiger beer. Oh! it was tasty and I like it more than san miguel light. :D We enter the Saigon bar and make dance with stranger people. But all of them are friendly and kind. I easily get drunk so I go home after I finished the one bottle.

In terms of food shopping. Omg! I would say they have the best street foods and authentic restaurant that serve like heaven. I am not going to describe as you think very exaggerated. This is all base on my experience and taste buds.

I've been two countries abroad they have the best foods both but different taste. What I also like the most in Vietnam is very cheap. I don't need to spend that much money if I want a good food. I still can get on the street at the cheapest price. I'm now back in the Philippines but I still imagine the foods in there.

Here's the fact that I like Vietnam and why this is the best country I've ever been;

1. Most of the people I encounter can't speak English even a little. But they responded politely with a smile.
2. When you ask they'll try to teach you the right direction.
3. When you don't understand each other they remain smiling never turn their back and leave.
4. They are the friendliest people I've ever met in my travel trip.
5. Very cheap food and accommodation are great at a reasonable price. Total package with a lovely staff.
6. They are eager to learn something from you.
7. They are trying to connect with you, you can see it in their eyes.
8. Lovely tune of voice.
9. The places are amazing very new to me. I made unforgettable memories.
10. Last but not the least. I want to go back Vietnam.
