My Trip To Croatia Part #3: Makarska
Hey all!
After being in Split and Skradin, we hopped on a bus to Makarska.
Our main reason why we decided to visit Makarska was Biokovo National Park.
You will get to know more about Biokovo in my next Croatia post, this post is about the small city Makarska.
I really liked the scenery in Makarska, especially the beautiful Biokovo mountains in the background.
Makarska has also many nice beaches to offer, as you can see in the pictures.
We rented an apartment that was located quite high up above the city, so we had to walk up on a steep road every time to get there.
But it wasn't that bad, good exercise and you could enjoy the fantastic view of the mountains as you walked up the street.
In the second picture you can have a look how steep it was!
On the last day of our stay in Makarska we took a walk along the coast. We were really lucky to find a beautiful butterfly, as you can see in one of the last pictures.
The butterfly in the pictures is a Papilio and is a genus in the swallowtail butterfly family.
