Abandoned cemetery

in #travel5 years ago

Samara region, Shigonsky district, an old abandoned cemetery. They say burials go from the year 1800. The shore has been eroding the Volga for many years, as a result all the remains are just showered in the water and lie all over the beach

Sort:

Woow, such an amazing history about this place that you have told this day. Our world today have so many abandon places and it only takes awesome people like you to get them to the world. Such bones and skulls of should i say our forefathers.

If this place is properly maintained it will fetch the people within that community a great deal of income on tourism. I really enjoyed every word in there and your pictures where mind blowing. Great work again and keep the travel spirit up always

Thank you very much for the feedback.)
Tourist places here will not work - the remains are likely to be reburied in the near future. But there are no interesting places on the shore, very beautiful nature and clean air ...

Ooo i see, then it will just be cool place to feel some breezes. With the remains even there it will scare people away. You are humbly welcome by the way

Woo Hooo ! Your post got curie'd !

:)))
it was unexpected.))

Oh Wow !!

I have never seen nor heard of such a place. That is just bizarre !

You made it look a little artsy with all those colorful stones in the last photo.

I saw it for the first time with my own eyes.
This place is just a paradise for a photographer, it has so many possibilities.)

I suppose that is the story of life as a cemetery will become forgotten after a period of time. It is a bit freaky seeing the skulls just sitting on the shore line like that. The land is being eroded away quicker than we can imagine and it will be interesting to see what this place looks like in 200 years time.

I, too, would not refuse to look at this place in about 200 years ...

This is the most shocking post I've ever seen here on steem. As a photographer I would be thrilled to go and take some photos as you don't see that every day, I don't think there's another place you can see skulls in the open.
As a human, I am sad this is happening. Where are the authorities? Why isn't this place protected? Cemeteries are part of history and everyone deserves respect, dead or alive.

After the photos got into the media, the authorities promised to tackle this problem. And there is no one to protect him - the place is rather inaccessible, despite the fact that there is a settlement nearby. Few people will go there ...

Soon there will be another post, similar subjects - skulls photographed at night, with a little illumination.

To be honest, it was a bit creepy to walk there at night, but the excitement to take an interesting shot won.) I think you, as a photographer, will understand me.))

Exactly! That is why I said as a photographer I wouldn't miss the opportunity but as a human it's a totally different thing. I know it's creepy at night but I guess I would have gone for a photo shoot anyway, armed with a few friends of course 😃

Holy s*t, that is scary but cool, thank you!
