Hello everyone

Having lived in Cape Town for most of my childhood I don't have to look things up on this one. Not only is it beautiful to look at but creates some rather strange weather conditions for the city and the suburbs around it.
On the left of the top photograph you have Devils peak, then table mountain and then a smaller hill on the right which is called Signal Hill.
From the Devils Peak side there is a granny's path that will lead you up the back way to the top of Table Mountain. This is a good form of exercise and a lot of locals do it. Signal hill on the right has a noon day cannon which is fired every day hence the name. The land you see right in the front is all reclaimed land from the sea.
The cable car that goes up to the top of Table Mountain is situated on the far right of the mountain. The cable car station is also known as the salt and pepper pots. When the cloud comes over the mountain that is known as the table cloth.
The city of Cape Town is directly below the mountain. This is where the mountain plays a huge part in the different climatic conditions experienced here. On the other side of Devils Peak the clouds get stuck/trapped and they experience a tremendous amount of rain whereas the opposite is on the other side of Signal hill where we find the suburb of Sea point which has more of a Mediterranean drier climate with little rain.images (6).jpg
