Photographing Morocco - Marrakech to the Desert

We start off today's Author Showcase with a trip to Morocco with @mibreit-photo. He spent 15 days there, starting off in Marrakech and then heading out to the desert to capture some stunning photos.

I am always amazed by the dedication of the travelers and photographers here on the blockchain. They travel for days to get somewhere, then once there fine other means of travel to get out to the middle of nowhere, and in this case sleep in a tent, albeit a luxurious looking tent, in extreme daytime heat, and cold at night. All of it just to capture a few perfect shots, when they are lucky. At times they may even come back empty handed. Of course the really good ones will find that perfect shot even when things don't go as they had planned, as you will see and hear about in the video in this post.

The photos of the sand dunes that Michael was able to capture look more like rolling waves on the ocean. It is great that he made it to the desert and got the shots that he wanted.

Go check out the full post to see all of the photos and the great video.

Love Someone by Lukas Graham | Song Cover#8

This next author took about a three month break from the platform, but returned almost a month ago. She has totally reinvented herself. She has begun sharing her great talent and voice with us now. That post from a month ago was a wonderful version of the popular Oscar winning Lady Gaga song Shallow, from the film A Star is Born. Since then she has been posting many performances in both her native language and in English. Each time out she seems more and more comfortable, and is getting better and better.

I truly do hope she listens to the people urging her to join in the OpenMic contest as I believe she will fit right in and do very well.

Listen to @rachelleignacio singing her rendition of Love Someone by Lukas Graham here.

Muzzloaders: March in Montana

There is an indescribable calm that comes with the methodical loading ritual of these fine firearms... ....a meditative, zen like state is achieved when interacting with these finely fashioned pieces of steel and wood. ... Traditional muzzleloading is a vacation from the norm a reprieve from modern chaos.

When I read the above quote from author @dennyducet I really didn't expect that what he was saying would be the actual case, but then I watched the video. I have to say there really was a surprising calm from watching this group of men firing these antique guns. It was a step back into the past. They also managed to capture some incredible slow motion shots.

Go watch the full video here to see all of those amazing shots.

It is a sad fact of life that at times when we are in our darkest places, our saddest places that we can also be at our most creative. In the end @cmp2020 had a great piece for his classes, and also some better news about his beloved cat who he will now be able to spend some more precious time with.

I will leave the full story about his cat, and the music for him to tell in his post, especially the technical musical parts.

Go read the full details and listen to the pieces here.
