Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @phortun:

Close-up of a somewhat creepy statue of a man sitting on a bench on the Wenceslas Square, one of the most famous places in Prague. Named after St. Wenceslas, the patron of Bohemia, the square is a part of the historic centre of Prague, a World Heritage Site.

View of some of 34 yellow penguins that were installed on the Prague neighborhood of Kampa on the bank of the Vltava River in 2008. The art work was created by the Cracking Art Group and it soon became a popular tourist attraction.

Aerial view of the Karlin district of Prague as seen from just below the top of the Vitkov Hill. The hill is home to the famous Vitkov Monument - a national monument dominated by a giant statue of Jan Zizka, a legendary Czech warrior and military leader.

St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the most delightful architectural buildings in the Gothic style. In Prague, it is considered the main, because it is here that the relics of St. Wenceslas are located.
Cathedral struck, stunned, delighted! So it was in both my visits to this place. There are not enough words to convey the sensations of the greatness and beauty of this place. Even if you are in Prague for just a couple of days, I highly recommend visiting St. Vitus Cathedral.

What a wonderful close up! Thank you so much for your participation. Have a great day.

Church of St.Georg, Hloubětín, Prague

Prague, of course, has grown in the past. Where there are industrial peroferies today, there once used to be agricultural settlements. One of these settlements was Hloubětín.
Until today, the church of St.George, which dates back to 1217, was preserved. Of course, the church was rebuilt and renovated. We can find traces of all architectural styles from early Gothic to Socialist Realism.

Funny that you posted a church as well...! ~ Love it ~ ✨ ~ !

Look what came up in my ˋFacebook Memories´ today ~ not that I am using same much any more :)
This is one of my most beloved impressions of - once again - me in the little Czech village Konárovice during this time of year...! Today it displays the as ancient as mesmerizing town’s church in back view...isn’t the landscape that surrounds it gorgeous and very mysterious just as well ~ 🌟 ~ !
There even had been a pair of sheep present at this spot when I visited it last ~ perhaps I can post something in this regard tomorrow :)
