Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @dali-gis:

St. Nicholas Church, the Old Town Square. Located along the existing from the Old Town Square, the exterior is very attractive, although paling in comparison to its nearby neighbor the Church of the Virgin before Tyn. The interior, however, is much more beautiful. There is a beautiful crystal (?) Chandelier and beautiful frescoes. The woodwork is also very impressive. I advise you to make a stop inside!

It is one of the most beautiful squares in the world, and it is the cross of its entire history. Beautiful houses, a unique Astronomical Clock that does not have a single world, are the aisles where the guest of Prague can embrace the unique atmosphere of this exceptional city.

What a stunning shot! The only spoiler is the Astronomical Clock Renovation but still worth featuring in today's edition. Have a great day. Tomas

Old Jewish Cemetery, Brtnice, Vysočina Region

In pre-war Czechoslovakia, several hundred thousand Jews lived. Of course, they had their cemeteries as well.
During the Nazi occupation, most of their community was murdered. The other assets left behind were used by some. But what about the cemeteries? And so they gradually collapsed ...
Over the last 30 years, care is better for them. But relatives of the dead would care better.

The statue of Franz Kafka

We do not really know what to think of this work, which already requires a minute or two to understand what it represents. Erected by Jaroslav Róna in 2003, in honor of Prague writer Franz Kafka, this bronze statue is located in the Josefov district of Prague, Czech Republic. The artist would have been inspired by Kafka's book, Description of a Combat (Beschreibung eines Kampfes) to create it. You will have to look high to admire the statue, which is still 3.75 meters.

The caves and Moravian views are wonderful! it was really a good getaway and indulge in these nature sights. The peaceful walk through the forest was a great change of pace from all the cities we had been seeing lately, and the caves themselves were spectacular.

The Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts is one of two music and dramatic arts academies in Czech Republic. It was founded in 1947 and after hard times during communist regime, it got wide recognition as the regime collapsed and many members of staff came back.

This is the ceiling of Our Lady of the Snows (Panny Marie Sněžné) in Prague. Contrary to its appearance this is not the original gothic vaulted ceiling, but an early 17th century neo-mediaeval recreation (1607 to be exact). I found the yellowish beige ceiling color rather boring, except for the stars, which is why I decided to make it into a black and white photograph so as to highlight the elegance of the lines.

This photo was taken on Klarov square in Prague. You can see on it the Memorial of the Second Resistance Movement or Resistance Flag Monument. It is a dedication to the second resistance movement to the Nazi occupation of the Czechoslovakia from 1938 to 1945. In the background there are the dome of the church of St. Francis Seraph (dates back to 1679-1685), as well as the Old Town Bridge Tower.

Old Town Prague, The Dream City.
Prague is an amazing city, a fairy tale city, a city of dreams, a city where one wants to return and wander sensing his breathing, his pulsation and rhythm. Despite the crowds of tourists, cheating in exchangers and crowding come and enjoy.
