View of Wenceslas Square from the National Museum, Prague. Wenceslas Square was founded together with the New Town of Prague by Charles IV. It was not the biggest, but it was the most important square. This is where Czech history was formed. Here the uprising and the revolution broke out. Here are demonstrations. Let's see what happens here next.

View of a section of the Spilberk Castle, one of the most famous dominants of the Moravian city of Brno. Located on the top of a hill, the castle has a very long history that dates back to as early as the first half of the 13th century.

A close-up view of a part of the Strahov Monastery on a grey winter day. The Strahov Monastery is a Premonstratensian abbey founded in 1143 by Jindřich Zdík, Bishop John of Prague, and Vladislaus II, Duke of Bohemia. It is located in Strahov, Prague, Czech Republic.

On the road in Czech Republic. During my winter cycling I crossed a good portion of Czech Republic, unfortunatelly though, due to the mind being focused on cycling and distracted with so many beauties, sometimes I don't remember the exact locations. This is one of the beautiful cases..

Hi Tomas and fellow Steemians. The National Museum in Prague remembered two anniversaries last year. Its foundation in 1818 and Czechoslovakia independence proclamation in 1918. And we all got beautiful present -The National Museum was made accessible to the public after expensive reconstruction. And the result is breathtaking.

Prague. Botanical Garden, which is located next to the zoo (or rather, opposite the entrance). Getting to it is quite easy - by metro to the station "Kobylisy" (red line), and then by bus. A little advice if you decide to visit the Botanical Garden: combine his visit with the zoo, and leave it for 30-40 minutes to see Troy, which is also nearby, is within walking distance. Prague, as I have now already concluded for myself, is not only Charles Bridge, Vysehrad, Mala Strana or Old Town Square, it is also new areas, a modern zoo and an incredibly beautiful botanical garden.

Schwarzenberg Palace, back side, Hradčany, Prague. The palace was built between 1545 and 1547. Its plaster was decorated with a technique of sgraffiti. Of course it was later rebuilt in Baroque style. The plaster has been overcoated. But in 1871 a major reconstruction took place, which returned the palace to its original form. This construction started a neo-Renaissance wave in Bohemia. You will see a similar facade in many Prague buildings from the end of the 19th century. So here you can see their pattern.

Thanks for the feature Tomas! Today, I am coming with what I would describe as the Prague classic - panoramic view of the Prague Castle and a part of the historic center of the city as seen and captured from below the Petrin Hill.

I visited St. Barbara's Cathedral as part of the Express Tour "Kutna Hora - Kostnitsa - Sternberg".
The cathedral has a long history of construction. It began to build more than 600 years ago, then it was stopped to build, then rebuilt. Finally completed the temple only in 1905. St. Barbara's Cathedral struck me with its refinement and refinement. He is so beautiful that he can not leave indifferent. No wonder this cathedral is considered the fourth most beautiful cathedral in Europe, yielding this place only to Prague's Saint Vitus Cathedral.
